Grab a drink, sniff your way through our curated oils, and blend a custom scent on the spot. We'll work it into whatever product you pick — an eau de parfum, a body mist, a beard oil, or a bath & body treat — and you take it home that night.
No appointment, no session fee, no experience needed. Roll through solo, on a date, or with your queer fam while you're out enjoying Rochester's First Friday — you only pay for the product you make.

Your scent can go into any of these — from a $17.99 lotion to an eau de parfum, plus beard oil, body wash, shampoo, and body mist. There's no charge to blend; you just pay for the product you choose, and it's yours to take home that night.

What is Sip & Scent?
Sip & Scent is a free, hands-on fragrance drop-in we host every First Friday at our Village Gate boutique in Rochester, NY. Blend your own custom scent, choose a product to put it in, and take it home that night. There's no session fee — you only pay for the finished product.
How much does it cost?
There's no charge to participate. You only pay for the product you choose, starting at $17.99 for the Olive & Shea Lotion up to $89.99 for a 50mL eau de parfum. Full pricing is on the list above.
How is this different from a bespoke design session?
Sip & Scent is the lightweight, walk-in version — no appointment, no fee, and we don't save your recipe. A booked Scent Design Session ($49.99) is one-on-one, includes a wider menu, and saves your recipe so you can reorder anytime.
Do I need an appointment or any experience?
Neither. Just walk in during First Friday and we'll guide you through smelling, choosing notes, and blending — first-timers welcome and encouraged.
Can I take my product home the same day?
Most products are ready for same-day pickup. The Olive & Shea Lotion needs a heat step to incorporate the fragrance and may not be ready until the next business day.
Can I save my blend to reorder it later?
Sip & Scent blends aren't saved by default. If you want yours on demand, book a full scent design session ($49.99) and we'll recreate it whenever you run out.
